Black Mountain Home for Children, Youth & Families, originally founded in 1904 as Mountain Orphanage, is a ministry dedicated to providing care and support to at-promise youth from birth through college graduation. Through family foster care, residential care, transitional living, and independent living programs, the organization aims to help youth realize their potential and prepare for adulthood.
Supporting the mission of Black Mountain Home, the Mountain Home Thrift Store Cheryl's Place and Thirteen Pennies Cafe offer opportunities for older youth to gain job training and hands-on experience in various fields, including culinary arts and hospitality.
