I love performing outpatient anorectal procedures that can drastically improve a patient's quality of life, as well as abdominal and rectal surgery for cancer, diverticulitis or inflammatory bowel disease, robotic surgery, hernia repairs and endoscopy. \n My approach to healthcare starts with being a careful listener. I spend the time necessary to hear a patient's concerns, evaluate their symptoms and review treatment options with them. I pride myself on staying up to date on the latest research and in taking a team approach to treatment by discussing a patient's care with their primary as well as with consulting physicians and providers. \n I balance the science of reaching a diagnosis with the art of providing more than one treatment option. Having an extensive discussion of risks, benefits and alternative therapies allows the patient autonomy. \n I'm a member of the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. In 2024, I was honored to be listed among Charlotte Magazine's Charlotte's Top Doctors. \n My wife and I have lived in Charlotte since 2022. I enjoy traveling, hiking, water sports, playing the piano and exercising. We love taking our dog, Nora, on North Carolina's many public parks and trails.
