Dr. Koop grew up in Jenison, Michigan and studied Psychology at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He then went on to attend Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and received his Bachelor of Science of Visual Sciences degree, as well as his Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1996. Dr. Koop has a deep interest in myopia progression and it's effect on our younger population. He also has advanced training in dry eye treatments. Dr. Koop moved to Greensboro in 2000 and has been the owner of Vision Source Eye Center of the Triad since 2003. He lives in Greensboro with his wife, Angela, and 2 children Carly and Sam.
