My father was a physician who enjoyed his profession and loved serving people. While growing up, I always wanted to emulate him. Also, I was a science enthusiast from a young age and wanted a profession that allowed me to use science and to interact with and learn from the life experiences of others. \n I have a keen eye and ear. Being a parent myself, I have realized how vital it is to listen to parental concerns along with making my own clinical observations during office visits. Both are extremely important in the field of child neurology. \n I moved to the U.S. from India in 2007. I went to medical school in India and then did six years of additional medical training here in the U.S. I am fortunate to practice my profession here, as doctors in the U.S. are doing the best scientific research in the field of genetics and have far better resources for children with development challenges than any other country. \n I was honored to win a Charlotte Top Doctor Award from Castle Connolly in 2021 and 2022. \n My husband and I stay busy with our three boys. I enjoy yoga, gardening, cooking and traveling with family and friends.
