Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro provides hospice services to persons living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities and to persons in the hospital. It also provides hospice care through the Hospice Unit, a more than 10-bed unit at Moses Cone Hospital, which provides short-term, acute symptom management, and Beacon Place, a residential facility. Its Kids Path is a children's program that provides home care for children with serious and life-limiting illnesses. Kids Path also offers counseling and bereavement camps for children who have experienced the death of a loved one. Its Counseling and Education Center offers individual and group counseling to adults that include hospice patient family members and nonhospice members of the community. Its transitions and life changes service program offers information, guidance and support to persons with chronic and serious illness. Located in Greensboro, N.C., Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro is approved by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.
