South Elementary School

South Elementary School is a public school offering educational instruction to students in grades kindergarten through two. The school has an enrollment of more than 700 students and is a part of the Mooresville City School District. It comprises more than 30 classrooms, a multipurpose room, cafeteria, resource classrooms, including an advanced computer lab and fully automated media center. All its classrooms are equipped for educational television, audiovisual aids and computers. It teaches a variety of subjects, including mathematics, social studies, health education, English, arts and crafts, music and physical education. The school also offers classes to students in developing a common language for describing behaviors, common signals, common lessons for teaching appropriate behavior and common positive reinforcers through its Positive Behavior Support program. South Elementary School is located in Mooresville, N.C. It is fully accredited by the state of North Carolina and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
