History
Skylight Inn BBQ opened in the summer of 1947. Coming from a long line of BBQ cooks, Original proprietor Pete Jones opened to begin smoking whole hogs the way he grew up doing it. The Jones family continues the tradition, and takes pride in delivering traditional eastern North Carolina style BBQ done right!

Maybe the best Eastern NC style bbq there is, watching them chop it in the window behind the front desk is mesmerizing. Smoky, rich and delicious. Not a slaw person but my mom finished both...

Best brisket I have ever had. Feel apart like butter. The smoke ring was perfect. Don't miss this opportunity, or you will be sorry. The slaw and beans made the perfect combo.

Come early! I was here at 10:10am and there was already a line. I've been here before. Great food! Tip the guys working here! They deserve it!

The bbq is good not the best I've ever had. The chicarones meat skins are worth the trip.
