Sherrills Ford Terrell Fire Rescue

Established in 1972, Sherrills Ford Terrell Fire and Rescue is a full-service public safety department that works to provide fire suppression and emergency medical services. It responds to various emergency and nonemergency calls for more than 13,000 residents in an area of over 40 square miles. The department houses a fleet of apparatus, including engines, tankers, brushes, trucks, squads and boats. Sherrills Ford Terrell Fire and Rescue organizes public education and fire safety programs for local businesses, day care centers, schools, organizations and churches. It is comprised of more than 15 paid staff members and over 55 volunteers. The department also provides burning permits and offers various employment opportunities for the residents of Sherrills Ford, N.C.
