I became a nurse practitioner to provide a unique blend of nursing and medical care. I enjoy forming trusting relationships with patients. This allows me to develop treatment plans over the long term to improve overall health and quality of life for patients. My philosophy as a nurse practitioner is to provide compassionate and influential care by educating patients, families and communities how to live a healthy life in spite of chronic illness and disease. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, reading and traveling.

I enjoy solving the "puzzle" to diagnosing and treating people. When I am not at work, I like gardening and walking my Border Collie.

I chose to become an advanced practice provider to improve the health of all women. My approach to patient care includes utilizing the best available evidence in a caring, compassionate manner to improve health outcomes for women. When I am not at work, I enjoy travel, boating, and the mountains.
