Salisbury Fire Department-Station 5

Fire Station 5 in Salisbury, NC has a rich history, originally erected in 1942 as Fire Station 2 under the direction of Fire Chief Charles L. Burkett. After serving the community for 38 years, it was replaced by the current Fire Station 2 in 1980. In 2014, the fire department reclaimed the building and began renovating it to restore it as an active fire station, while also preserving several items of fire department historical interest.

Located at 1402 South Main Street, Fire Station 5 houses Ambulance 5 and Squad 5, serving the Salisbury community. The Salisbury Fire Department has continuously strived to improve efficiency in their operations, conducting extensive studies to better utilize their apparatus and equipment during working fires.
