RHA Howell Care Centers is a nonprofit organization that offers a range of services in the field of human services, including supporting infants, children and adults. The center offers a variety of services that includes adult day health care, day support, personal care services, respite care community-based support, supported employment, and home and community support. It also offers an array of comprehensive specialty services that are available based on individual needs, such as lifeguards, dentists, dieticians, physical therapy assistants, physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech and language pathologists. The center organizes various extracurricular activities, including Halloween, Walnut Creek open house, River Bend golf tournament and disability awareness programs. RHA Howell Care Centers is headquartered in Durham, N.C., and maintains more than 10 locations throughout North Carolina, including New Bern.
