Founded in 1948, Mechanical Contractors has been designing, installing and maintaining mechanical systems in Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C., for more than 50 years. Nearly 70 percent of the company s annual volume is performed within a design/build structure, in which Mechanical s estimators prepare a quotation, the company s full-service engineering department draws up the plans using computer-aided drafting technology and its project managers see it through the construction phase to deliver the final product. In addition to design and installation, the company s commercial and industrial service department maintains a 15-vehicle fleet that offers 24-hour emergency service. Mechanical Contractors employs approximately 150 people at its offices in Charlotte and Raleigh.
