Pitt County Schools serves more than 21,000 students from prekindergarten through grade 12. The district schools has counselors that provide services to students through individual and group counseling, group guidance, academic and career planning, student assessment, consultation, referral and follow-up. The district s student services team includes school counselors, school social workers, school psychologists, school health case managers and additional specialized staff. The schools academic curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, language arts, special education, business, industrial technology, computer application, reading and physical education. The schools offers sports activities in football, volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball, cross country, swimming, tennis, soccer, and track and field. The district operates through various departments, such as administration, food service, guidance, human resources, technology and transportation.
