I became a Family Nurse Practitioner because working as a nurse for seven years in the medical intermediate unit and cardiac ICU, I saw the need for providers in primary care in eastern North Carolina. I wanted to help reduce hospital admissions through preventive care and education. My philosophy of care is patient centered with the foundation built on the patient-provider relationship.
