Operational for more than 40 years, Cape Fear Valley Health is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Cape Fear serves more than 15,000 patients annually, and employs over 500 consultant doctors, pulmonologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, dieticians, and pediatricians. It has state-of-the-art emergency department and operating suites, including magnetic resonance center, radiology, cardiology, cardiac laboratories, endoscopy, nuclear medicine, preadmission testing, physical and occupational therapies, respiratory care, and case management divisions. Cape Fear offers a wide variety of services, such as physical, language, speech and occupational therapies, cancer programs, senior citizen services, medical imaging, maternal-fetal medicine, preconception counseling, genetic screening, breastfeeding and lactation program, and mammography and Pap smears.
