EBENEZER BAPTIST CHURCH was founded in 1916. The founding Pastor was Rev. Erastus Lucas. Services were held initially in homes ; and on August 16, 1916, EBENEZER BAPTIST CHURCH was born. Its birth began in a one-room school building, which stood only a few yards from where the present church now stands. EBENEZER continues to witness for Christ and has multiplied in its ministry, membership and facilities.In November 1970, EBENEZER BAPTIST CHURCH, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, sought a Pastor. The Church was led to ask Rev. Thomas L. Walker to serve ; he came ready and willing to let God use him to his Glory. EBENEZER IS a community based church whose membership is representative of all aspects of the community. Biblical teaching is available to give the New and Growing Christian a full diet of spiritual food.
