Food was good. Lunchtime. 5 tables filled- took over 30 min to get food and even longer to get check. Fantastic scene. Just sloooooow!

Poppy's Bites and Barrels is a restaurant in historic downtown New Bern, NC serving up a modern twist on southern classic food. Menu features burgers, street tacos, and specialty Mac & Cheese. Our bar features some of the rarest Bourbons in North Carolina as well as a rotating 16 tap craft beer selection. Located in an old 1800s bank building. Our local restaurant's interior serves as living memorial to veterans and active duty members and their families.
