Pinecrest High School

Established in 1969, Pinecrest High School represents the consolidation of seven high schools in southern Moore County and the merger of three school administrative units. Located in Southern Pines, N.C., the school offers education to students from grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes arts, English, math, science and social science. Pinecrest High School has several clubs and groups that include band booster club, interact club, Pinecrest forensic society, step team and student government association. The school s facility comprises four, two-storey classroom buildings, cafeteria, field house, green house, auditorium and six mobile class rooms. Additionally, Pinecrest High School s athletic facility includes a football and soccer stadium, a baseball field and a gymnasium with basketball, volleyball and wrestling facilities. The school s media center offers several services, including video cameras, overhead projectors, DVD players, lamination service, CD players, slide projectors and poster printing.
