The Public Works Department of the City of Rolla is engaged in activities that covers streets, sidewalks, storm and sanitary sewers and wastewater treatment, traffic control and mapping. Its Engineering Division provides administration, engineering, planning, and supervision for projects undertaken by the department and performs many of these functions for various other agencies with city government. The activities of the engineering department range from in-house planning and design, coordination of outside engineering firms and contractors, to construction surveying and inspection.
