Dr. Robert Boswell practices in Wilmington at 3787 Shipyard Boulevard and in Jacksonville at 2000 Brabham Avenue, Suite 100. Dr. Boswell is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has earned a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. As a fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon, Dr. Robert Boswell specializes in disorders of the shoulder and knee, in addition to all sports related injuries. He has a focus on using rehabilitation, prevention, and both arthroscopic and open surgery to restore joint function and keep patients involved in an active lifestyle. He serves as a team physician for several local high schools.

Dr. Shawn Hocker, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at EmergeOrtho – Coastal Region, specializing in joint replacement, sports medicine, and arthroscopic surgery. Serving patients in Wilmington, Leland, and Burgaw, NC, Dr. Hocker provides advanced care for hip, knee, and shoulder conditions, including total joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, and ACL reconstructions. With expertise in computer-assisted and patient-specific knee replacements, Dr. Hocker treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions such as osteoarthritis, meniscus tears, tendonitis, bursitis, and joint pain. Dr. Bahner is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and is fellowship-trained in reconstructive hand and microsurgery and surgery of the upper extremity. He has a special interest in finger, hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder injuries, reconstructive hand and microsurgery and surgery of the upper extremity. Committed to community service, Dr. Bahner has served on mission work to Peru, where he treated children with congenital hand problems and disorders. He is actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America and enjoys spending time with his wife, Marnie, and their four children.
