The shop began in 1975 as The Sign of the Peacock in Cashiers, NC. It then moved to Highlands,NC in 1991 as Needlepoint is Pretty Wonderful. Then it became Needlepoint of Highlands in 1993.

How could anyone disparage this wonderful shop and owner!! I have visited this store for decades and it is the best needlepoint store ever. We all have bad days, but let's be fair to our merchants .

If you need anything Needlepoint, I suggest you go here! The selection is amazing, she has so many different colors, and the canvases are beautiful! Will for sure return!
