In 1981, Greensboro Youth Soccer Association ( GYS ) was approved as a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) non-profit organization. We were incorporated in 1978. GYS is the largest soccer organization in the Piedmont-Triad and is currently home to more than 7, 000 players, coaches, officials, parents and volunteers. Greensboro Youth Soccer serves the Piedmont-Triad area and offers programs at all levels of play, from 4 year olds to Adult's. Greensboro Youth Soccer has the most experienced and qualified staff ( highest coaching qualifications ), has helped place more players on college scholarships, and won more NC State Cups than any other organization in the Piedmont-Triad area. Greensboro Youth Soccer has some of the finest soccer facilities in the country with the Bryan Park Soccer Complex and Smith Soccer Complex. Greensboro Youth Soccer aims to create a fun, positive environment where we provide opportunities for all children to play soccer. We follow a player-centered, holistic approach to allow each child to develop to their full potential while pursuing a commitment to excellence.
