Mountainside Wine

History

Mitchell County has long been a dry county. Two years ago, a group of volunteers banded together to bring alcohol back into Spruce Pine. Those efforts worked and, in March 2009, Spruce Pine became wet. Mountainside Wine opened in mid-summer 2009 and quickly became a gathering place. Its welcoming atmosphere of wireless business centers, eclectic tables and chairs and outdoor seating brings people together to visit and enjoy a glass of wine.

Specialties

The shop offers a large selection of wines in various price ranges and tastes, accessories, gifts, apparel, artwork, beer and cigars. Enjoy wine by the glass on the beautiful outdoor deck or in the welcoming atmosphere of the shop. But more than a typical wine shop, Mountainside Wine offers Paint Your Own Wine Glass, a Wine Club, free wine tastings on the first and third Saturdays of every month, Business After Hours and a sense of community. We also can provide you knowledgable assistance in chosing your wine.
