Mount Holly Water & Sewer Billing Department

Located in Kings Mountain, N.C., the Electric Department, a part of the city of Kings Mountain, is responsible for the distribution of electricity for more than 4,500 customers. It installs electrical power poles, street lamps, security lighting, and residential and commercial meters. The department reads over 13,000 meters per month and provides electrical line installation and electric current flow monitoring services. It also offers tree trimming, peak generation and system maintenance services. The Electric Department has more than 15 staff members, including a director of electrical utilities, electrical supervisor, technical specialists, crew foremen, electrical linemen and meter readers. Additionally, it owns and operates various electrical substations, as well as peak generation facilities that are fueled by diesel engines and generates nearly 10,000 kilowatts of electricity.
