Founded in 1928, American Children's Home is a nonprofit organization. It began as an orphanage for children of members of the Junior Order United American Mechanics, which is one of the oldest patriotic fraternities in the United States. The organization receives funds from private individuals, businesses, churches, civic groups and foundations.
