First Home Health and Hospice, located in Fayetteville, N.C., is a private, nonprofit agency that offers a range of services to patients and their families. The institution offers nursing services, home health aide, dietary therapy, and physical, occupational and speech therapies. The nursing services include diabetic assessment and management, medication teaching, observation, and scheduling, parenteral therapy, intravenous antibiotic and medication additives, enteral therapy, and intermittent and gastrostomy tube care. It also offers pain management, ventilator patient management, intensive wound care, tracheostomy care, pediatric care, urinary catheter management and ostomy care. The physical therapy services comprise therapeutic exercises, transfer training, establishment of home programs and gait training. The agency also offers a variety of occupational therapy services, such as pediatric developmental assessment and therapy, activities of daily living training and muscle re-education and coordination training.
