In the late 1950's Johnny Latham turned a long time hobby of growing plants into a prosperous business. The business grew right along with the growing Charlotte marketplace. Soon joined by his wife, Judy in the early 1970's, we built a reputation of growing quality plants for the growing wholesale and retail trade in Mecklenburg and Union County.Later joined by their son, Hunter in the mid 1990's as Sales Manager, our business grew to cover all of North Carolina and the northeast region of the United States. Today in the year 2009, our business has grown to encompass two different locations with forty acres of container production, mostly Ilex, Junipers, and Woody Ornamentals, and forty acres of field production, mainly pyramidal hollies, maples, and crepe myrtles. We are currently constructing our newest location in South Carolina, where our fifteen-gallon material is growing with an emphasis on camellias, crepe myrtles, hollies, leylands, magnolias, maples, and oaks. This nursery currently consists of sixty-five thousand 15 g. in production, with another ten thousand not far behind.Now more than ever, production is at its peak with quality and plant selection growing all the time.
