Claire Salmond was born in Portsmouth, England. She completed her occupational therapy training in England and worked there for several years before moving to Lancaster, South Carolina, in 1994 for a job. Since moving to the United States, Salmond has gained experience and provided treatment in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals and outpatient rehabilitation centers.
