When my high school biology teacher introduced me to the unique design and complexity of the human body, my career path was kind of chosen for me. I always loved science and wanted to use it in service to others. \n Behind each patient door is a new story, new face, new family, new opportunities. Before walking into each door, I take a deep breath and focus on being fully present for my patients. A mentor once challenged me by asking, What would it look like to add value to very single conversation or patient encounter throughout your day? I've always strived to do that. \n My faith is important to me, and I'm an active member of my church and like helping others find spiritual purpose. \n I'm passionate about helping individuals build resilience and develop coping strategies for life's challenges. I consider myself a partner in my patients' pursuit of living their healthiest lives. My holistic approach to adult and pediatric care addresses every aspect of a patient's well-being. \n The Triad area has always been home. I live in Greensboro and trained in Winston-Salem at Wake Forest School of Medicine. As much as I love this region, I hope to, one day, captain a sailboat and sail about the world. \n In addition to being passionate about taking care of my patients, I'm also passionate about endurance triathlon racing. But I'm equally happy sitting on the beach and reading a book. Or walking with my golden retriever.
