McRae Footwear has been manufacturing a variety of military combat boots for the United States Government for more than 40 years. It is a part of McRae Industries, which was founded as a manufacturer of children s shoes in 1959. McRae Industries operates Dan Post Boot Company, which designs, markets and distributes western footwear for men, women and children under several brands, including Dan Post, Dingo and Laredo. Dan Post Boot Company s footwear products are sold throughout the U.S. through farm and ranch stores, regional specialty chains, direct mail catalogs and Internet retailers. In addition, McRae Industries maintains a subsidiary, Compsee, which was established in 1981 and is a full-service integrator of mobile computing and network solutions.
