McLane Carolina, a division of McLane Company, proudly opened its doors in January 1997. The division employs 625 teammates in its 410,000-square-foot distribution center. In 2002, the division had more than 1 billion a year in sales servicing more than 1,650 customers in a three state area, including North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The company s dedicated logistics team, in 18 modern distribution centers, provides superior service throughout the nation to convenience stores, drug stores, mass merchandisers and other specialty retailers. The McLane Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, employs some 14,000 people nationwide. The company is headquartered in Temple, Texas. McLane Carolina is located in Battleboro, N.C.
