The Maritime Market is Bald Head Island's only full-service grocery store, offering fresh produce, Prime Beef, and fresh NC seafood, along with a wide selection of craft beers, fine wines & a comprehensive selection of groceries. The Market also features a full-service deli with sliced meats, artisan cheeses & fresh-baked breads, and serves a full breakfast & lunch menu daily in our Cafe. During the high season, we also serve freshly baked artisan pizza and provide hand-dipped ice creams and other frozen treats. The Market is the "pot-bellied stove" of the island - a social gathering place where islanders & visitors meet, conspire & socialize. Each month on the full moon, The Market hosts the "Howl at the Moon Sunset/Moonrise Party on East Beach - an island tradition that attracts upwards of 1000 or more people during the summer events, and more intimate crowds of around 50 people during the cool winter months.
