Not open poorly maintained It is a shame that this historical property has been so neglected. Originally the Farmers hotel dating from the 1800s.

I worked at this establishment when it was known as Woodfield Inn. At that time, it was the oldest, continuously operating inn in NC. The fine dining restaurant and weddings were grand affairs....

The pictures and ad in a local tourism book in a nearby hotel for Woodfield Inn & Pub showed a very elegant dining facility that looked like it should be a great Saturday evening dining...

Excellent small hotel with restaurant and pub. If it was good enough during the Civil War for our troops, it is good enough for me.
