Locust Field Holland Pharr Cemetery sits on a quiet hill in Canton NC. Originally owned by Ambrose Pharr, once he died without a will the property was fought for in a 6 year probate trial. Eventually the property was divided among his heirs, and a portion given to adjoin the Old Locust Field Cemetery (behind public library). The lower portion of Locust Field is the final resting spot of Ancestors of Ambrose Pharr in the 1800's all the way to current members of the Holland, Stamey, Johnson, and Smathers lines of heritage.
