History

LiveWell is a family owned and operated business with over 20 years of successful health care operating experience. Our decision to open LiveWell was based on our own care giving experience as our mother battled cancer. Although her medical condition was well managed by her doctors, the prescribed pills and therapies did little to counter her boredom, fear, loneliness and depression. As we noticed our mother's zest and enthusiasm deteriorating, the limitations of the medication model became glaringly clear. We decided to plan activities that would bring joy, spontaneity and excitement back into our mother's daily life. We encouraged family members and neighbors to drop by unannounced. We asked our friends who owned pets to bring them along during their visit. Volunteers came into the home and led art workshops and her pastor and fellow church members stopped by on Sundays. Taking care of our mom opened our eyes up to best practices we now institute at LiveWell today.
