I love the human voice and bring that passion to work with me every day. Having worked as a professional singer, actress and voice teacher prior to returning to graduate school for speech pathology, I understand the demands and pressures of being a professional voice user. Voice issues affect people of all ages and vocal demands. I treat each patient as an individual and we work together to create a treatment plan that serves their unique vocal needs.

My long-term research goal is to develop a more complete model of the relationships between cognition and communication across the lifespan. Better understanding the relationships between communication and cognition is critical to the development of more effective treatments for high-level communication problems experienced by many men and women with neurologic communication disorders. Toward this goal, I am interested in better understanding how cognitive deficits translate into communication disorders after traumatic brain injury (TBI) and how communication outcomes may change across the lifespan.

I love helping children meet their fullest potential. I enjoy finding fun and exciting ways to promote fitness, health and function for children of all ages while also working with the families to engage everyone in a healing environment. I aim to see every patient as the individual they are and meet them where they are to best address their needs. My area of special interest is in pediatric care. Outside of work, I enjoy exercising and being outside with my family.
