I chose to become a physician assistant after working as a certified nursing assistant for over three years in a hospital and realizing the lack of healthcare access and the various sociocultural barriers that exist, preventing patients from receiving high quality care. I am driven to provide personalized care that makes patients feel comfortable about their health and meets their needs. Every patient has a different life story and healthcare needs, and I am here to serve our community with an open heart and mind. I enjoy working with patients going through different stages of life and have a special interest in women’s health, diabetes, hypertension and weight management. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and dog. I love nature and you will find me either in the mountains or at the beach. I also love trying new foods from different cultures.

I chose to become a physician assistant after working in the medical profession for 10 years in various healthcare settings: inpatient inner city hospital cardiac stepdown unit, outpatient skilled nursing facility and outpatient cardiology practice. I have been in clinical practice as a physician assistant since 2005. I have clinical experience in Physical Medicine and Rehab (Physiatry), Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Internal Medicine and Adult Medicine. I am experienced in managing many chronic conditions including, but not limited to, high blood pressure, thyroid, diabetes and gynecologic care. I am experienced and trained to perform procedures such as implanted birth control, routine dermatological procedures, select joint and trigger point injections and other procedures. I enjoy being an integral part of the solution to America's growing healthcare crisis. I believe a GOOD practitioner treats the disease and an EXCELLENT practitioner treats the patient with the disease. I strive to ensure patient education and understanding of their disease states or current illness to improve patient outcomes. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, lake life, and sports (especially hockey and football).

I became an advance practice provider because I have a passion for medicine along with helping and caring for people. I aim to provide the best care I can to any patient that I see. My areas of special interest include preventative medicine and primary care in former and current cancer patients. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and traveling.
