Lakewood YMCA

The YMCA of the Triangle Area is a nonprofit organization that has been coordinating a variety of programs and services for the welfare of the community for more than 150 year. It operates through various branches, including A.E. Finley YMCA, Banks D. Kerr Family YMCA, Cary Family YMCA and Downtown Durham YMCA. The organization administers health and wellness programs for member of various ages. The YMCA of the Triangle Area also coordinates sports, senior adult and after-school programs. In addition, it conducts swimming and leadership lessons. The organization also initiates programs in schools, churches, parks and community centers. The YMCA of the Triangle Area provides support and financial assistance to needy families through the WeBuildPeople program.
