I feel fortunate to have an opportunity to be a physician and chose this profession because I truly enjoy caring for others while having fun and bringing a positive attitude to the clinic room or bedside in the hospital. I focus on creating a safe space for my patients by reducing stigma and talking openly about issues that are complex and difficult to talk about. Over the last few years, I have become more interested in the interaction of physical health, mental health and addiction. I focus on shared decision making and helping to support my patients healthcare goals. Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family, exercise, read and try new restaurants.

Mayview Convalescent Center, established in 1957, provides a variety of geriatric services. The center offers include dietary, housekeeping and maintenance services. It also organizes group activities, craft sessions, films, parties and music. The center allows participation in special events, religious services and occasional outings. The amenities offered include salon and barbershop; personal laundry; and lobbies and television lounges. The center also provides sun areas and wooded landscaped grounds. Its rehabilitation unit provides therapies, such as physical, occupational and speech. Mayview Convalescent Center also has a comprehensive care unit providing services, such as special diets, exercise and other individualized services. It is located in Raleigh, N.C.
