My goal with patents is to have them walk away from our encounter with a better understanding of their bodies and an awareness of the treatment options available to meet their individual needs. I see the provider-patient relationship as a team effort working towards a common objective - improvement in quality of life for each patient.

I became a Physician Assistant because I believe strong and thorough primary care saves people a lot of time, confusion and money. I love health and wellness and wanted to contribute in that way. My approach to patient care is focused on patient education. I never want someone to feel like they don't understand their health concerns. I believe in a collaborative approach with the patient and understanding their goals for their care. My areas of interest include diabetes management, women's health and mental health. Outside of work, I love to garden, rock climb and travel.

I like being on the front lines of medicine. Becoming a Physician Assistant (PA) never felt like a choice. From the moment I first encountered a PA as a patient, I was sold. In school, they teach us that 80% of diagnosis comes from the patient history. Listening to our patients should be our top priority. I love the variety of conditions that are addressed in family medicine. I enjoy getting to know my patients, and I like being part of their lives. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and chasing after our two kids. I also like yoga, sewing and making a mess in the kitchen. I try to avoid math, camping and laundry.
