History

I've been a musician for nearly 20 years and began teaching when I moved to North Carolina with my wife in 2016. Since starting out at the Music by Steve studio in Fuquay-Varina, my roster of students has grown steadily with the overwhelming support of the awesome local community who nominated and voted for me to become the Triangle's Best Local Guitar Teacher in 2018. In Spring 2020 I founded my Holly Springs home studio where nearly all of my lessons take place with a few hours per week reserved to continue teaching at the Music by Steve Studio in Fuquay-Varina.

Specialties

Voted the Triangle Area's 2018 Best Guitar Instructor in 2018, I teach radical drum and guitar lessons to students of all ages, specializing in students with high-energy, home-schools and ADD, their curious parents and anyone who loves having fun. My weekly, 30-minute private lessons take place daily at my home studio in Holly Springs and once a week at the Music By Steve Studio in Fuquay-Varina, home of affordable $25 lessons. Focus on learning your favorite songs, while I sneak in the fundamentals and even music theory. All ages and experience levels are accepted because making a lot of mistakes and a lot of noise is totally radical for everyone.
