J. Murrey Atkins Library

J. Murrey Atkins Library provides a variety of library services. It employs a staff of more than 95 people, including librarians and support officers. The library is a member of the Association of Southeastern Libraries. It provides access to more than 250 workstations and over 50 laptops. It conducts a variety of bibliographic instruction sessions for students. J. Murrey Atkins Library additionally serves more than 7 million visitors. The library specializes in information literacy programming, research data, audiovisual editing, scanning and presentation support services. It maintains a stock of print and electronic journals and serial subscriptions. The library s digital cameras, camcorders, projectors and laptops are available on rent. In addition, the library provides access to more than 57,000 electronic books. Located in Charlotte, N.C., J. Murrey Atkins Library is managed by The University of North Carolina, which enrolls more than 22,300 students, as well as employs a staff of over 850 faculty members.
