Isothermal Community College

Isothermal Community College, a member of the North Carolina Community College System, is a two-year, public institution that serves students in Rutherford and Polk counties in North Carolina. The college offers individual courses and certificate, diploma and degree programs. Additionally, it offers personal enrichment, remedial, business and industry, developmental courses and community service activities. It additionally provides distance learning and dual enrollment programs. It also provides career and veteran counseling, and health and placement services. The college offers majors in health and clinical sciences; computer science; personal and culinary; and security and protective services; business, management; marketing; humanities; and liberal, visual and performing arts. It offers computer courses, including networking, telecommunications and programming. It also provides courses in aesthetics, cosmetology and manicures, criminal justice and police science. Its management courses include finance, e-commerce, insurance, risk management and real estate. It is approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The main campus of the college is located in Spindale, N.C. It also has a campus located in Columbus, N.C.
