Interstate Motor & Auto Service Inc. is a family owned and operated business opened by Susan and William Beaver Russell, Jr. ( Beaver ) in 1991. Beaver had more than 17 years experience in the automotive industry before opening his own business. His goal was to manage his own business and service the community in a more personal way. Beaver is a local resident, and his family has lived in the area for several generations. The Russell family is well known in the community with good reputations of being honest and fair. In 1995, Beaver built a 10 bay shop to upgrade his business and meet customers' needs. The Russell's opened their second location, Interstate Motor DBA Newell Service Center and Penske Truck Rental, in 2005. They purchased a station built in 1949, which was operated by a family member. The new location is a five bay shop ; service station and Penske Truck rental agency which has serviced UNCC staff, students and local residents since its creation. We are a member of the Better Business Bureau and Independent Garage Owners of North Carolina. We employ ASE certified technicians.
