Inlet Inn is a 36-room, family-owned and operated, waterfront hotel in Beaufort’s downtown historic district. The Inn offers Guests a chance to enjoy wild horses on the Rachel Carson Reserve from their own private balcony. Large waterfront rooms on the first and second floor come with a king-sized bed, sitting area with pull-out sofa and private balconies with rocking chairs—the perfect spot for our Guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful views and ocean breezes. Six of our first-floor waterfront rooms have working fireplaces for the cooler shoulder seasons or a romantic evening. Third-floor rooms offer two queen beds, dining table and chairs and a large bay window seat perfect for cuddling up with a book and watching the wild horses and traveling mariners. We also have a few west facing non-waterfront rooms, one of which is perfect for larger families with a king bed, a pull-out queen and two twins. Inlet Inn breakfast service is modeled after the British Colonial tradition and offers a continental breakfast with fresh brewed coffee, juice, toasted bagels and warm muffins. Best of all, we’ll deliver it straight to your room so you can lounge a bit longer in your pjs! Enjoy our newly renovated Lookout Lounge where you'll find a "coastal" library and a fourth-floor Widow’s Walk. From the Widow's Walk you'll enjoy stunning, distant views of Cape Lookout and Lighthouse, Shackleford Island, Beaufort Inlet and the Atlantic Ocean. Park your car in our free lot and enjoy walking a few steps to the waterfront and several great downtown dining locales and historic sites.
