History

I-26 started back in 1978 by Steve Moss. A young man with a desire to work on his race car for the Asheville Speedway. People began to visit I-26 for repairs and maintenance to their vehicles as word spread throughout Asheville about Steve and his team (Donny & Dale). Steve Moss successfully brought his shop, I-26, into the 21st century with a successful record of 42 years of excellent service as an Asheville collision repair and restoration garage with the best word-of-mouth reputation in Western North Carolina. In 2020, Steve has since retired and passed the baton on to the new shop owner, Thomas Kane. Thomas spent his youth in the garage growing up around cars and is proud to carry on with Steve's legacy and honored to carry on the excellent services to the community of Asheville and surrounding areas. Today, you can find Steve wondering through the garage at I-26, meeting with customers, and sharing stories.
