Hospice of Carteret County

Carteret General Hospital is a nonprofit, more than 130-bed hospital, located in Morehead City, N.C. Since its inception in 1967, it has grown from a small organization to a full-service hospital. Carteret General Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The hospital offers various treatment and educational programs that include diagnosis and service-specific programs, such as orthopedics, congestive heart failure, and diabetic and breast cancer care. The hospital offers a full range of acute care, diagnostic and outpatient services, including a comprehensive cancer treatment center, imaging center, specialty clinic and cardiac rehabilitation and birthing centers. Taylor Extended Care Facility, the hospital s long-term skilled nursing facility, provides skilled services for residents who require specialized long-term care or short-term rehabilitation. The facility offers on-site licensed therapists, full-time pharmacists, physician and nurses.
