Historic Hope Foundation, located in Windsor, NC, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and interpreting the rich history of Bertie County and the Roanoke-Chowan Region of North Carolina. With its meticulously restored and furnished Hope Mansion, a stunning example of Federal and Georgian architecture, and the 1763 King-Bazemore House, one of the few remaining examples of mid-eighteenth century hall and parlor design in the state, Historic Hope offers visitors a unique glimpse into the rural life of the late 18th and 19th centuries in eastern North Carolina and the South.
