About Good Samaritan Hospice (Good Sam for short) has been serving the Roanoke and New River valleys since 1992. As the only community-based, not-for-profit hospice, Good Sam provides hospice and grief support to patients, families, and the community regardless of their ability to pay. With an interdisciplinary team of caregiving professionals, including the area's only full-time medical director as well as trained volunteers, Good Sam offers quality patient care, family support, community education, and counseling services. Kids Path is a distinctive program of AuthoraCare Collective that provides support for children aged 4-18 who are coping with serious illness and loss. Their licensed counselors offer individual counseling, support groups, and workshops to help children navigate the death or serious illness of a loved one. Through their grief services, Kids Path aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children and teens can receive one-on-one counseling and participate in support groups and workshops to help them process their emotions and find healing.Generated from the website
