Highgate Specialty Center

The UNC Highgate Specialty Centre is a community practice of the UNC Health Care System, which is a nonprofit organization owned by the State of North Carolina. The center offers treatment and care solutions for wounds and diabetes. It manages the UNC Diabetes Care Center, which is a specialty medical practice that provides educational services for the general public, patients, physicians, and medical and allied health students. The diabetes center specializes in diet modification, exercise training, cardiovascular risk reduction and foot care solutions. The UNC Diabetes Care Center also offers weight, stress and blood glucose management solutions, as well as insulin pump therapy.
